Construction and process options

Wetted parts can be specified in stainless steel grades such as 304 or 316L according to corrosion exposure, cleaning chemicals, and hygiene requirements. For beverage or cosmetic service, weld finish, drainability, internal polish, and cleanable connections need to be defined for the actual process. Solvent-based nail polish calls for a separate safety review: solvent compatibility, area classification, ventilation, electrical equipment, and seal materials must be confirmed before the drive and instrumentation are selected.

Agitator selection depends on the job. A disperser blade provides localized shear for powders and pigments; an anchor or other low-speed agitator may be appropriate for viscous material or wall turnover. Some batches need both, with independent drives or a combined arrangement. Motor and gearbox sizing depends on viscosity, working volume, speed, and duty cycle. Heating may use a jacket or another agreed method; temperature range, control accuracy, and heat-transfer needs determine the design.
