1000L–3000L Steam Heated Chemical Mixing Tank with Dispersing Agitator
Steam-heated 1000L, 2000L, and 3000L chemical mixing tanks combine batch heating with a dispersing agitator for powder incorporation and liquid blending. Tank construction, wetted stainless steel grade, seals, heating arrangement, drive, and controls are selected around product chemistry, viscosity, temperature targets, and plant utilities. Share working volume, process conditions, and cleaning requirements to determine a suitable configuration.

Steam-heated mixing for chemical production
Our 1000L, 2000L, and 3000L mixing tanks are configured for batch processes that need controlled heating alongside dispersion, such as dissolving powders, blending additives, or preparing viscous chemical intermediates. The dispersing agitator helps break down agglomerates and distribute ingredients; it does not replace a separate high-shear homogenizer when a process requires a specified particle size or emulsion result.
Heating can be designed with a steam jacket or another suitable heat-transfer arrangement. The choice depends on the required heat-up time, product viscosity, available steam pressure, and cleaning requirements. Temperature control may use a product probe and a steam-control valve. Final control strategy and instrumentation should be matched to the process, since product temperature can lag behind the vessel wall during charging or high-viscosity mixing.
Construction and configuration
We select wetted materials according to chemical compatibility, temperature, and cleaning method. 304 stainless steel may suit compatible general-duty products; corrosive formulations can require 316L or a different material after review of the actual chemistry. Welds on product-contact surfaces are finished to the agreed standard, with polishing level set by sanitation needs and product behavior. Seal materials and shaft sealing arrangement also depend on the fluid, operating temperature, and cleaning chemicals.
Agitator and disperser sizing is based on batch volume, viscosity, density, solids loading, and the required mixing result. Motor and gearbox selection follows the expected torque and duty cycle. A variable-frequency drive can support speed adjustment, but the appropriate speed range must be established with the impeller geometry and process. Tank access, bottom outlet, baffles, lifting provisions, and cleaning access should be resolved before fabrication.

Applications and purchasing questions
Typical applications include chemical solutions, coatings, adhesives, and formulated liquids. Before requesting a quotation, provide the batch and working volumes, ingredient order, viscosity range, target temperature and heating time, available steam conditions, cleaning method, and any hazardous-area requirements. These details let our engineers recommend a tank size and drive configuration without assuming that nominal capacity equals usable batch volume.
FAQ
Can the tank handle viscous products? It may, subject to viscosity, batch size, and agitator design review.
Is 316L always required? No. Material selection should follow chemical compatibility and cleaning conditions.
Can the system be automated? Controls can be specified to the required operating sequence and plant interface.
