Built for plants that clean on a schedule, not when production stops
A 500 L CIP unit is usually the smallest size that still gives a mid-size plant usable wash and rinse volume without dumping and reheating solution every cycle. Ours is a skid-mounted package: 500 L stainless tank, steam heating through a shell-and-tube or dimple-jacket exchanger, supply pump, return pump, and pneumatically actuated valves on the flow path. Pneumatic actuation is what most buyers ask for when the skid sits near solvent storage, powder handling, or a classified area where solenoid enclosures become a headache to justify.
One thing we tell every customer before quoting: the tank is rarely the constraint. Caustic at 1.5–2% and 75–80 °C will clean a 30 m loop of 2\” pipe in a few minutes, but a 200 m circuit with three dead legs and a horizontal return line needs flow and velocity, not more liters. Send us the loop drawing first. Tank volume follows.
How a cycle runs
Pre-rinse pushes product residue to drain. Caustic recirculates from the tank, through the supply pump, into the spray balls or the process line, and back through the return pump. An acid stage follows where mineral scale is a concern, then a hot rinse and, if the line stays wet, a sanitizing step. Conductivity, temperature, and flow are the three readings that tell you whether the cycle actually worked, which is why we instrument all three rather than just the tank thermometer.

Where these skids end up
Dairy receivers and pasteurizer loops, brewery fermenters and bright beer tanks, beverage syrup rooms, sauce and liquid-food lines, cosmetic batching vessels, and pharmaceutical process piping. Each has different residue chemistry, so we size caustic strength, temperature, and contact time to the soil, not to a generic program.
Questions we get before the PO
One tank or three? One tank means rinse water mixes with caustic and you lose concentration. Three tanks cost more upfront and pay back on chemical and heat. Two is the usual compromise.
Can we add circuits later? Yes, if the manifold is ordered with spare ports. Retrofitting a valve tree onto a finished skid is more work than most people expect.
Steam or electric? Steam is cheaper to run where you already have a boiler header. Electric is simpler to install in a plant without one.
Getting a useful quote
Send us your industry and product, tank and piping details including loop length and diameter, required cleaning capacity per shift, available heat source, preferred automation level, stainless grade, and installation location with any area classification. We build in-house and will come back with a recommended configuration, drawing, and price.

We ordered a complete peanut butter processing line, and overall we’ve been very happy with it. The equipment arrived well packed and everything was installed and tested without major issues. The line runs smoothly, and the mixing and processing have been consistent. Our peanut butter comes out with a good texture, and the equipment is not difficult for our operators to use and clean. The support from the supplier was also helpful during setup. So far, it has been a good investment for our production.
