When you need to disperse powders into liquids without lumps and keep a continuous process running, an in-line high shear mixer often makes more sense than a large batch tank. Our in-line liquid powder disperser uses a close-tolerance rotor-stator head to pull powder into the liquid stream, wet it out, and break down agglomerates before they ever reach your finished product. The unit mounts directly in a pipe or circulation loop, so you avoid open-tank transfer steps and the associated dust and losses.
What this equipment does on your line
The heart of the machine is a high-speed rotor-stator assembly driven by a low-noise motor. Liquid enters the inlet, gets accelerated through the rotor, and exits the stator slots at high shear. Powder can be introduced through a separate port or pre-mixed, depending on your recipe. The result is a uniform dispersion or emulsion in a single pass, or multiple passes if you recirculate. For many food, cosmetic, and chemical formulations, this continuous approach gives tighter batch-to-batch consistency than adding powders by hand into a batch tank.
We build the wetted parts in stainless steel—typically 304 or 316L—and can supply alternative elastomers for seals and gaskets to match your solvents or pH range. A variable frequency drive (VFD) is available if you need to adjust shear intensity or flow rate without changing pulleys or gears. Motor enclosures, voltage, and flange connections are specified per site, because a chemical plant in Texas and a dairy in Wisconsin rarely share the same electrical standards.
Where it fits
You will see this style of mixer in sauces, dressings, and syrups where starch or gum addition causes fisheyes. Cosmetic manufacturers use it for creams and lotions to avoid over-aeration. Pharmaceutical processors employ it for dispersing excipients into liquid vehicles, provided the materials and cleanability meet their requirements. In chemical operations, it handles water-based dispersions, adhesives, and emulsions when the seal materials are compatible with the formulation. We do not claim one configuration works for every recipe; particle size, viscosity, and temperature all affect the outcome.
Common questions we hear
Can I install this in an existing tank loop? Yes, many customers mount it in a recirculation line and use a single tank for both mixing and holding. The pump must be sized for the pressure drop and flow you need.
What about abrasive powders? We can specify hardened rotors and liners, but you should share the Mohs hardness and particle size so we can recommend the right materials.
How do I choose between in-line and batch? If you run short cycles or need to eliminate a separate dispersion step, in-line often wins. For very high viscosity pastes, a batch mixer might still be necessary.
To get a realistic quote, tell us your batch size, material properties (viscosity, solids content, temperature), required motor power or flow rate, and local electrical supply. We can then recommend the rotor-stator geometry, seal type, and connection size for your process.
Ace Mixer\’s in-line high shear disperser handles powder addition, emulsification, and agglomerate reduction in continuous or loop systems. Stainless steel construction, low-noise motor, optional VFD, and customizable seals and connections. Request specs based on your batch size, viscosity, and electrical supply.

Customer Review
We ordered a complete peanut butter processing line, and overall we’ve been very happy with it. The equipment arrived well packed and everything was installed and tested without major issues. The line runs smoothly, and the mixing and processing have been consistent. Our peanut butter comes out with a good texture, and the equipment is not difficult for our operators to use and clean. The support from the supplier was also helpful during setup. So far, it has been a good investment for our production.
