Product description

500L High-Speed Dispersed Stainless Steel Vacuum Reactor / Homogenization Shear Emulsification Tank

We build this 500L reactor for processes that demand more than simple agitation. It combines vacuum operation, high-speed dispersion, and shear emulsification in a single vessel — a practical setup for producing fine emulsions, suspensions, or dispersions where particle size and uniformity directly affect product quality.

The tank is constructed from 304 or 316L stainless steel, depending on your product chemistry. We use full-penetration welds and then mechanically polish the interior to a mirror finish (Ra ≤ 0.4 µm) so cleaning and sterilization are straightforward. The outer surfaces are brushed or matte finished to resist shop-floor scratches. For corrosive or pharmaceutical applications, we can supply 316L with a higher nickel content and electropolish the wetted parts.

The mixing system is where this unit differs from a conventional reactor. It has a high-speed disperser shaft running at up to 1450 rpm, plus a separate homogenizer head that generates intense shear in the bottom zone. Both are driven by independent motors with frequency inverters, so you can adjust tip speed and shear rate without changing impellers. The vacuum system pulls down to -0.096 MPa, which helps deaerate the batch and prevents air entrapment in viscous products.

Heating and cooling are handled through a jacket around the vessel. We offer electric heating, steam, or thermal oil circulation, and the same jacket can be switched to cooling water or brine for temperature control. The design pressure is typically 0.6 MPa for the jacket and full vacuum inside the vessel, but we can engineer higher ratings if your process requires it.

This equipment fits well in cosmetic creams, pharmaceutical ointments, chemical adhesives, and food dressings. A typical batch might involve blending a water phase and an oil phase under vacuum, then homogenizing at 3000 rpm for a set time until the droplet size reaches the target range. Operators can watch the temperature and vacuum on a control panel, and we can integrate a PLC with touchscreen if you need recipe storage and data logging.

FAQ

Q: Can I use this for solvent-based products?
Yes, but you must specify the solvent and its concentration. We’ll select the right gasket and seal material (e.g., PTFE or Viton) and may need to adjust the motor rating for ATEX compliance.

Q: How do I clean the tank between batches?
The mirror finish and rounded corners make manual cleaning quick. We can also fit a CIP spray ball that rotates under 0.3 MPa water or cleaning solution.

Q: What if my batch size is not exactly 500L?
We build from 50L to 5000L. The 500L is a common size, but you can send us your working volume and we’ll adjust the dimensions and motor power accordingly.

Q: Do you provide installation support?
We supply a complete unit with all connections. For overseas buyers, we provide detailed drawings and video guidance, and we can arrange on-site commissioning if needed.

Buying Guide

Before requesting a quote, prepare these details: the exact materials you’ll process (chemical composition, pH, viscosity), batch volume, operating temperature and pressure, whether you need vacuum, and the required mixing intensity. Also note if you need explosion-proof motors or specific surface finishes. Our engineers will use this information to confirm the vessel rating, impeller design, and seal compatibility.

Send us your process parameters — batch size, material properties, temperature, pressure, and mixing requirements — and we’ll respond with a configuration recommendation and a factory-direct price. We’re happy to discuss custom nozzles, additional ports, or a complete skid-mounted system.

Customer Review

We ordered a complete peanut butter processing line, and overall we’ve been very happy with it. The equipment arrived well packed and everything was installed and tested without major issues. The line runs smoothly, and the mixing and processing have been consistent. Our peanut butter comes out with a good texture, and the equipment is not difficult for our operators to use and clean. The support from the supplier was also helpful during setup. So far, it has been a good investment for our production.
