1300L Stainless Steel Weigh Batching Reactor for Shampoo & Cosmetics Mixing

This 1300-liter weigh batching reactor is built for liquid detergent, shampoo, and cosmetic production lines where formulation accuracy and batch-to-batch consistency matter. It integrates mixing, heating, cooling, and weight-based ingredient dosing into a single stainless steel processing vessel, reducing the need for separate premix tanks and manual weighing stations.

We fabricate the tank from 304 or 316L stainless steel, depending on the corrosiveness of your raw materials. The inner surface is mirror-polished to Ra ≤ 0.4 µm, which helps prevent product buildup and makes CIP cleaning straightforward. For shampoo and cosmetic bases that contain salts, surfactants, or acidic pH adjusters, 316L is often the safer choice—especially if you plan to run multiple formulations in the same tank.

The vessel is equipped with a top-mounted agitator. For low to medium viscosity liquids, a pitched-blade or anchor impeller works well. If your formula includes thickeners like carbomer or xanthan gum, we can adjust the motor power and blade geometry to handle the higher shear without overworking the drive. The agitator speed is variable, so you can control vortex depth and aeration—important when processing foam-prone products.

Heating and cooling are handled through the outer jacket. We can design the jacket for steam, hot water, or thermal oil circulation. The working temperature range and pressure rating are matched to your process. A standard atmospheric tank works for most cosmetic batching, but we can also build the vessel for light vacuum or pressure duty if your process requires deaeration or closed-loop operation.

Each reactor comes with a weighing system that feeds data to a PLC-based control panel. This allows operators to add ingredients by weight directly into the tank, following a preset recipe. This is especially useful for multi-step batching lines where you need to replicate the same product batch after batch. The control system can also log production data, which helps with traceability and quality audits.

We keep the design practical for daily use. The tank includes a manhole for inspection and cleaning, bottom outlet with a flush valve to avoid dead zones, and adjustable legs to match your existing platform height. All welds are ground and passivated, and we offer a range of options including spray balls for CIP, sight glasses, temperature probes, and sample ports.
