Product description

We build stainless steel bioreactors for labs and production floors where microbial fermentation and cell culture need consistent, repeatable conditions. These vessels are not off-the-shelf tanks with a motor bolted on. They are engineered around the process: how you sterilize, how you transfer heat, how you drive mixing, and how you maintain a sterile boundary over a full production cycle.

The wetted parts are available in 304 or 316L stainless steel. For most biological work, we recommend 316L. It holds up better against saline media, acidic byproducts, and repeated caustic cleaning cycles. Internal welds are full-penetration and autogenous where possible, then ground and electropolished to a surface finish that resists biofilm formation. If you need a specific Ra value, we can hit it, but we will also ask about your cleaning protocol first—because a mirror finish is pointless if the CIP flow path is poorly designed.

Heating and cooling are handled through an external jacket or internal coils, depending on your batch volume and ramp rate. For fermenters, precise temperature control matters more than raw heating speed. We size the heat transfer area based on your working volume and the biological load you expect. Mixing is done with Rushton turbines, pitched-blade impellers, or marine-style propellers, depending on whether you are growing bacteria, yeast, or mammalian cells. Shear sensitivity is a real constraint, and we will not pretend one impeller fits all.

The system includes a sterile sampling port, exhaust condenser, and a control interface that logs temperature, pH, and dissolved oxygen if you spec it. We also offer SIP/CIP capability. You need to tell us whether you are running batch, fed-batch, or continuous culture—that changes the port layout and the control logic.

FAQ

How do I choose between 304 and 316L?
If your media contains chlorides or you sterilize with peracetic acid frequently, go with 316L. For simple water-based media, 304 is acceptable and cheaper.

Can you build a system for anaerobic fermentation?
Yes. We can add a nitrogen overlay, pressure control, and a gas-tight agitator seal.

What about scale-up?
We build from lab to production scale. If you give us your current kLa value or mixing time, we can match it at a larger volume.

Do you provide documentation?
Yes, including material certificates, weld maps, and hydrostatic test reports.

Before you request a quote, take a few minutes to write down the following: the exact culture organism, the working volume per batch, your maximum operating temperature and pressure, and whether you need SIP/CIP. If you have a target for dissolved oxygen transfer, include that too. Send those details to us and we will come back with a vessel configuration that fits the process—not just a generic tank.

Customer Review

We ordered a complete peanut butter processing line, and overall we’ve been very happy with it. The equipment arrived well packed and everything was installed and tested without major issues. The line runs smoothly, and the mixing and processing have been consistent. Our peanut butter comes out with a good texture, and the equipment is not difficult for our operators to use and clean. The support from the supplier was also helpful during setup. So far, it has been a good investment for our production.
