When you store chemicals, water, or oil, the tank is not just a container — it\’s part of your process. We build stainless steel storage tanks with heating jackets for exactly that reason. The jacket maintains temperature during holding or mixing, which matters for viscosity control, crystallization prevention, or simply keeping a product flowable.
The tank is fabricated from either SUS304 or SUS316L, depending on the media and cleaning regime. For most water and oil applications, 304 is sufficient. For chlorides, acids, or frequent caustic cleaning, 316L gives you the extra corrosion margin. We weld with full penetration and grind the welds smooth on the product contact side. Interior surfaces can be finished to 2B, BA, or a mirror polish up to 400 grit, depending on your hygiene requirements.
Heating is delivered through a half-pipe or full dimple jacket welded to the shell. You can specify the heating medium — steam, hot water, or thermal oil. We also offer insulation and a stainless steel cladding to reduce heat loss and protect personnel. The tank comes with a cone or dish bottom, a manhole for inspection, and the required nozzles for inlet, outlet, vent, and temperature sensing.
This design suits industries such as chemical blending, water treatment, edible oil storage, and similar liquid processing. It is not a pressure vessel; if you need vacuum or pressure rating, we must design and rate the tank separately. Always tell us your operating conditions before we quote.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I choose between 304 and 316L? If the stored liquid contains chlorides (like saltwater or bleach) or if you use aggressive cleaning agents, go with 316L. For plain water, oil, and many organic chemicals, 304 is fine.
Can the heating jacket handle high temperatures? The jacket is designed for the medium you specify. Steam jackets typically work up to 150°C, thermal oil can go higher. We need your maximum temperature and heating rate to size the jacket correctly.
What about cleaning? We can add a spray ball for CIP. The interior surface finish affects how easily residue releases — a mirror polish makes cleaning easier.
Do you provide pressure ratings? Standard tanks are atmospheric. For vacuum or pressure, we need to know the design pressure and temperature. We\’ll then calculate wall thickness and nozzle reinforcements.
