This stainless steel tank is built for facilities that need to move stored liquid from one point to another without installing fixed piping. The open-top design gives you direct access for filling, mixing, or manual retrieval, and the welded caster frame means the whole unit rolls wherever your line needs it.
We fabricate the shell from SUS304 as standard. For fluids with higher chloride content, or where cleaning agents are aggressive, we recommend SUS316L — the molybdenum content makes a real difference in pitting resistance. Both grades are fully weldable, and we use TIG welding with back-purged argon to keep the interior smooth and crevice-free. Welds are ground flush, then the interior surface is finished to a 0.4 µm Ra or better. That matters if you are storing honey, syrups, or dairy intermediates, because bacteria have a harder time clinging to a polished surface.
Open-top tanks are not pressure vessels. If your process requires vacuum or positive pressure, this configuration is not suitable — that calls for a closed, rated tank design. This unit is for atmospheric storage, mixing, and short-term holding. The wheels are locking casters, so the tank stays put during filling and agitation, but rolls freely when you need to relocate it.
Typical applications include honey warming and decanting, potable water storage in small-batch food lines, herbal extract soaking, and temporary batch holds in cosmetic or chemical workshops. It is not designed for continuous pressurized processing or long-term outdoor chemical storage.

Can I use this tank for pressurized mixing? No. This is an atmospheric tank. For pressure, you need a closed vessel with proper ratings.
What is the difference between SUS304 and SUS316L here? 316L resists chloride corrosion better. If you store salt brines or clean with peracetic acid frequently, choose 316L.
How do I clean the interior? The polished surface allows manual washdown with standard CIP spray balls if you add the optional spray ball fitting. Otherwise, open-top access makes manual cleaning straightforward.
Can the wheels handle the full weight? Yes, the caster set is rated for at least 1.5x the tank\’s maximum working weight.
