We build stainless steel storage tanks for liquids that need to stay at a specific temperature. This isn\’t a one-size-fits-all product. The tank you need depends on what you\’re storing, how much of it, and the conditions inside your facility.

This particular design features a cooling jacket. The jacket is welded around the shell, creating a channel for coolant to circulate. That\’s how we control the internal temperature. The degree of cooling, the flow rate, and the coolant type are all matched to your process.

The tank shell is fabricated from either SUS304 or SUS316L, depending on your product\’s chemical compatibility and cleaning requirements. SUS316L is the go-to for acidic or chloride-containing products. SUS304 is often sufficient for many food, beverage, and water applications. We make the call based on what you tell us about your product. Welds are fully penetrated and ground smooth where required. Interior surfaces are polished to your specified Ra value—typically 0.4 to 0.8 µm for hygienic applications. Exterior surfaces can be brushed or polished.

We build these tanks with a few different bottom options: dished, cone, or flat. The choice is driven by how you want to drain the tank and whether you need complete evacuation. Top openings, manways, agitator mounts, level sensors, and CIP spray balls are all custom-fitted during fabrication, not afterthoughts.

Material and Fabrication Notes

All wetted parts are made from the same grade of stainless steel to avoid galvanic issues. Gaskets are chosen based on temperature and chemical resistance—EPDM, Viton, or PTFE are common options. The cooling jacket is pressure-tested before the tank leaves our shop. We also pressure-test the tank itself, depending on whether it\’s designed for atmospheric, pressurized, or vacuum service. Note that vacuum or pressure duty requires specific design calculations and thicker plate; we\’ll confirm the rating with you before we build.
