Product description

Electrically Heated 304 Stainless Steel Emulsification Reactor

We build this mixing tank for processors who need consistent, repeatable emulsification and blending under controlled heating. It is a straightforward piece of process equipment—no gimmicks, no overpromising.

The vessel is made from 304 stainless steel, which gives you solid corrosion resistance for dairy products, sauces, cosmetics, and many chemical mixtures. The inner tank wall thickness is selected based on working volume and required rigidity; we do not cut corners on material gauge because thin walls flex and fatigue over time. Welds are full-penetration and polished smooth on the product-contact side, so there are no crevices for bacteria or residue to hide in. Interior surface finish is typically 180–320 grit mechanical polish, and we can go finer if your process demands it.

The electric heating system is designed for precise temperature control, not just raw power. We size the heating elements based on your batch volume, starting temperature, and target temperature, so you are not overspending on energy or undershooting your processing time. A cooling jacket can be added for processes that need rapid cooldown after the heating phase. Working pressure and design temperature are matched to the actual duty—atmospheric for most dairy applications, but we also build pressurized vessels when your recipe requires it.

Mixing is handled by a top-mounted agitator with a variable-speed drive. For emulsification, we use a combination of a high-shear emulsifying head and an anchor or paddle stirrer, depending on viscosity and solids content. This is not a one-size-fits-all configuration. If you are blending powders into liquid, we adjust the impeller type and speed range. If you are making mayonnaise or salad dressing, we set up a rotor-stator emulsifier that can handle high-viscosity fluids. The mechanical seal is rated for food-grade service, and the whole assembly is designed for CIP/SIP cleaning cycles.

We have shipped these tanks to dairy plants, food processing lines, cosmetic manufacturers, and pharmaceutical facilities. In each case, the buyer came to us with a specific process in mind, and we adapted the tank geometry, piping connections, and control panel to fit their layout.

FAQ

What is the difference between a mixing tank and an emulsification reactor? A mixing tank is for blending and homogenizing. An emulsification reactor adds a high-shear head that breaks down droplets to create a stable emulsion. If your product needs to stay mixed without separating, you need the emulsifier.

Can I use this tank for pressure or vacuum processes? Yes, but you need to specify that upfront. The wall thickness, head shape, and seals all change for pressure or vacuum duty. We cannot retrofit a standard atmospheric tank.

How do I clean this tank? We recommend a CIP system with a spray ball and a drain at the lowest point. The polished surface makes cleaning straightforward. If you require manual cleaning, we can adjust the port layout for easier access.

What about motor and drive sizing? That depends on your product viscosity and mixing speed. Send us the viscosity range and your desired mixing time, and we will size the motor and gearbox accordingly. Oversized motors waste energy; undersized ones fail.

Before you request a quote

To recommend the right configuration, we need a few specifics from your side. Tell us what material you are processing—its chemical composition, concentration, and viscosity. Provide the batch size and working volume. State your operating temperature and pressure, and whether you need heating, cooling, or both. Describe the mixing result you expect—whether it is simple blending, emulsification, or suspension. Also mention any cleaning protocols or industry standards you must meet.

With those details, we can confirm the material grade, wall thickness, heating capacity, agitator type, and control system. Send your process requirements to our engineering team, and we will come back with a configuration and a quotation that fits your production line.

Customer Review

We ordered a complete peanut butter processing line, and overall we’ve been very happy with it. The equipment arrived well packed and everything was installed and tested without major issues. The line runs smoothly, and the mixing and processing have been consistent. Our peanut butter comes out with a good texture, and the equipment is not difficult for our operators to use and clean. The support from the supplier was also helpful during setup. So far, it has been a good investment for our production.
