This permanent magnetic composite liquid trap is built for process lines where ferrous contamination compromises product quality or damages downstream equipment. The cutting and punching configuration generates a strong magnetic field gradient that captures fine iron particles, mill scale, and weld debris from liquid streams before they reach reactors, pumps, or final product.

We manufacture these traps with neodymium magnets housed in a stainless steel body, selected for corrosion resistance in water treatment and chemical processing environments. The magnetic core is arranged to maximize surface area contact while maintaining low pressure drop across the unit, so you do not sacrifice flow rate for filtration efficiency.

How often do I need to clean the magnetic trap? Cleaning frequency depends on solids load. In clean water loops, monthly inspection is typical. In cutting or punching coolant lines, weekly cleaning may be necessary. The quick-release cover makes this a 10-minute job.

Can this handle viscous liquids? Yes, but pressure drop increases with viscosity. Send us your fluid data and flow rate so we can size the trap accordingly.

What temperature rating do the magnets have? Standard neodymium magnets lose performance above 80°C. If your process runs hotter, we can use samarium-cobalt magnets or specify a cooling jacket.

Is this suitable for food-grade applications? With SS316L and a sanitary polish, yes. We can also provide FDA-compliant gaskets and a CIP-friendly design.
