500L Portable Stainless Steel Storage Tank
This 500-liter movable tank is built for facilities that need flexible liquid storage without committing floor space to a fixed silo. We fabricate the body from SUS304 stainless steel as standard, with SUS316L available for more corrosive or acidic products. The tank handles milk, edible oils, beverages, cosmetics, and similar liquids where hygiene and cleanability are non-negotiable.
The shell is rolled from a single sheet with full-penetration TIG welding, then ground and polished to a 0.4μm Ra interior finish. That matters more than you might think—rough surfaces harbor bacteria and make CIP cycles longer. We keep the interior welds flush and the corners radiused so nothing traps product or cleaning solution.
Portability is the point here. The tank sits on heavy-duty casters with locking brakes, so you can move it between filling stations, pasteurizers, or packaging lines. The top opening is sized for easy access, and we include a clamp-on lid with a silicone gasket. You can add a bottom outlet valve, level gauge, or a simple agitator if your process requires mixing or keeping emulsions from separating.
One thing we see in the field: people sometimes forget to specify what the tank will hold. That determines the gasket material, the polish level, and whether you need a heating jacket. For example, olive oil doesn\’t need the same surface finish as cosmetic lotion, and a perfume base may require solvent-compatible seals. FAQ
Can this tank handle vacuum or pressure? No. This is an atmospheric tank. If you need vacuum or pressure, we can build it, but it requires a different head design and thicker plate, plus proper ratings.
What\’s the difference between 304 and 316L here? For most food and beverage use, 304 is sufficient. If you\’re storing brine, acids, or anything with chlorides, step up to 316L. The price difference is modest compared to the cost of pitting failure.
How do I clean it? A standard CIP spray ball can be fitted. For manual cleaning, the top opening is large enough to reach inside. Avoid abrasive pads that scratch the surface.
