Large Stainless Steel 304 Food Grade Water Storage Tank
This is a welded stainless steel tank built for bulk water storage in food processing, beverage, and potable water applications. Available in 20000L and 40000L nominal capacities, it is fabricated from SUS304 grade stainless steel with food-grade interior surfaces.
The tank shell is formed from rolled plate with full-penetration TIG welding. Interior welds are ground flush and passivated. The standard finish is 2B on the shell with a #4 polish on the interior surface where required. Exterior surfaces are available in either 2B or a brushed finish, depending on site preference.
We build these tanks with a dished bottom and a sloped outlet that allows complete drainage. The top is an open or closed design with a bolted manway for access. Standard fittings include an inlet, outlet, overflow, vent, and level gauge connection. You can add a CIP spray ball, insulation, or a heating jacket at the time of ordering.
SUS304 is suitable for clean water, food products, and most non-chloride liquids. If you are storing brine, acidic products, or liquids with high chloride content, we would recommend SUS316L instead. The right material choice depends on what you are storing and how you clean the tank.
These tanks are commonly used in food and beverage plants, dairy facilities, cosmetic production, and municipal water systems. They are not pressure vessels. If you need a tank rated for vacuum or internal pressure, this design is not suitable and you should specify that requirement separately.

Work out your daily or batch volume, then add 10–15% headroom. Make sure the tank footprint fits your building and that doorways or access routes can handle the tank dimensions.
Is SUS304 the right grade for my product?
SUS304 works for neutral pH liquids like water, milk, juice, and most food products. For acidic, salty, or chlorine-containing liquids, SUS316L offers better corrosion resistance.
Can I add a mixer or heating?
Yes, we can add agitators, heating coils, insulation, or a cooling jacket. Send us the liquid properties, operating temperature, and mixing requirements when requesting a quote.
Can this tank handle pressure or vacuum?
No. This is an atmospheric tank. For pressure or vacuum duty, you need a separately designed and rated vessel.
