We fabricate this storage tank in both 304 and 316L stainless steel, depending on what you plan to store. The removable design is the main feature here — you can open the tank fully for cleaning, inspection, or swapping internals. That matters more than most buyers realize, especially in food, cosmetics, or chemical blending where residue buildup becomes a contamination risk over time.

The shell is rolled from single sheets and welded with full penetration. Inside welds are ground smooth and passivated. If you need a mirror polish, we do that too — but don\’t over-spec it if your product doesn\’t require it. A 2B finish is sufficient for most oil and water storage. For cosmetics or pharmaceuticals, we recommend a 400-grit or finer interior finish to meet hygiene standards.

Capacity ranges from small lab-scale units to several thousand liters. The tank can be configured with flat, dished, or cone bottoms. Flat bottoms are fine for simple storage, but if you need full drainage, go with a dished or sloped bottom. We also offer optional accessories: level gauges, vent filters, manholes, CIP spray balls, and heating or cooling jackets. These are not afterthoughts — they need to be designed into the shell before welding, so tell us your process requirements upfront.

Material Selection — 304 vs 316L

304 is adequate for water, edible oils, and many cosmetic bases. 316L is the right call when you\’re storing chlorides, acids, or saline solutions. We\’ve seen tanks fail because the buyer chose 304 to save a small percentage of the total cost, then had pitting corrosion within a year. If your liquid has any salt content or low pH, step up to 316L. It\’s not a marketing upsell — it\’s metallurgy.

Q: Can this tank handle vacuum or pressure? Standard units are atmospheric. If you need vacuum or pressure rating, we will design the wall thickness and head accordingly — that\’s a separate engineering calculation, not a simple modification.

Q: What\’s the lead time? For standard sizes, 2–3 weeks. Custom configurations with jackets or special finishes take longer.

Q: How do I choose between 304 and 316L? Send us the chemical composition of your liquid. We\’ll advise based on chloride content, temperature, and cleaning agents used.

Q: Is the removable lid sealed? Yes, with a food-grade silicone gasket. For solvent storage, we can provide a PTFE gasket instead.
