Jacketed Stainless Steel Homogenizing Mixing Tank
This is a workhorse vessel for liquid fertilizer blending and chemical processing. We build these tanks in our own shop, using 304 or 316L stainless steel depending on the corrosiveness of your feedstocks. The jacketed design allows precise temperature control during mixing, which matters when you\’re dealing with soluble fertilizer solutions that can crystallize or degrade if the temperature drifts.
The inner shell is fully welded with smooth transitions, and we polish the product-contact surfaces to a 0.4–0.8 μm Ra finish to keep cleaning simple and prevent product hang-up. The homogenizing agitator – typically a high-shear impeller or a combination of axial-flow and radial-flow blades – ensures uniform dispersion of soluble solids into the liquid phase. If your process requires emulsification or fine particle breakdown, we can fit a rotor-stator head instead.
We don\’t guess at your process. Before we quote, we ask about your batch size, operating temperature, pressure range, and the viscosity of the slurry. That determines the motor power, impeller diameter, heating medium (steam, hot water, or thermal oil), and whether you need a vacuum or pressure rating. The tank can be built for atmospheric service or up to 6 bar internal pressure, with a design temperature range from -20°C to 150°C.
