500L 316L Stainless Steel Fractional Crystallization Reactor
Fractional crystallization demands precise temperature control and a clean, corrosion-resistant environment. This 500L reactor is built for that specific duty. We fabricate the vessel entirely from 316L stainless steel, with wetted parts finished to a mirror polish that minimizes product adhesion and makes cleaning between batches straightforward.
The jacket is designed for both heating and cooling circuits, so you can ramp temperatures up to dissolve solids and then cool slowly to drive selective crystallization. If your process requires especially tight cooling rates, we can add a secondary internal coil or an external circulation loop — just specify your ramp profile when you ask for a quote.
Stirring is handled by a custom agitator. For crystallization, we typically recommend a helical ribbon or anchor with a scraper, depending on your viscosity and crystal size targets. The shaft seal is a mechanical double seal with a flush port, suitable for solvent service and vacuum operation.
We build to GMP standards as standard practice, not as an extra-cost option. That means orbital welds, full traceability documentation, and a surface finish of Ra ≤ 0.4 µm on contact surfaces. You get a reactor that meets regulatory scrutiny without paying a premium for a separate \”GMP version.\”

Also note the viscosity range and any solids content. If you\’re working with aggressive chlorides or acids, tell us — we may recommend a higher molybdenum alloy or a different gasket material.
Cleaning requirements matter too. If you run multiple products through the same kettle, ask about our CIP spray ball options and drain port placement. For sterile processes, we can add a sanitary clamp connection instead of a flanged outlet.
