What separates a homogenization reactor from a standard mixing tank is the agitator and the tolerances around it. When powder is drawn into a high-shear head or swept along a scraped surface near the jacket wall, agglomerates break down before they can settle. Uniform dispersion comes from geometry and tip speed, not from a label on the datasheet.

Vessel and Fabrication Details

Contact surfaces are built in 304 or 316L stainless steel, with 316L preferred where chlorides, acids, or aggressive cosmetic ingredients are involved. Plate thickness follows the design pressure and jacket arrangement, so we confirm it at order instead of quoting a default figure. Longitudinal and circumferential welds are ground flush, then the interior is polished to a finish agreed with you — 2B for general chemical work, finer mirror finishes where residue buildup or cleanability matters.

Jacket heating (steam, hot oil, or electric) and jacket or coil cooling cover most temperature control needs. Pressure and vacuum service change shell thickness, flange rating, and seal selection. A single mechanical seal handles many atmospheric jobs; double seals with barrier fluid suit vacuum, solvents, or hygiene-sensitive batches.

Is 400L the working volume? No — 400L is nominal vessel capacity. Working volume depends on freeboard and on foam or vortex behavior in your batch.

Do you provide documentation? Material certificates and test reports are available as agreed at order.
