Liquid Soap Mixing Tank for Controlled Batch Production
Liquid soap batches can be difficult to heat and mix evenly, especially as viscosity rises during formulation. We configure this 316L stainless steel tank around the batch size, ingredients, target temperature, and required mixing time. The goal is to maintain useful circulation without drawing excessive air into the product or leaving unmixed material near the vessel wall.
Construction and Process Configuration
For product-contact surfaces, 316L stainless steel is commonly specified where formulation ingredients or cleaning chemicals call for improved corrosion resistance. Final material selection should be checked against the complete ingredient and cleaning-agent list. Weld design, internal finish, and drainability affect cleanability; these details should be agreed before fabrication. Surface roughness, polishing level, nozzle layout, and sealing materials are selected according to hygiene requirements and the process rather than assumed as standard.
Electric heating can be configured to suit the required heat-up rate and operating temperature. The heating arrangement, temperature sensor location, insulation, and control method depend on batch volume and whether the product is sensitive to local overheating. For thicker soap, agitator geometry and speed matter as much as motor power. We select the impeller and drive arrangement based on viscosity, vessel proportions, and whether the process needs blending, solids incorporation, or gentle circulation. A scraper or higher-torque drive may be considered when wall build-up or heavy product resistance is expected.
Typical Specification Framework
| Item | Configuration basis |
|---|---|
| Product-contact material | 316L stainless steel; confirm compatibility |
| Working capacity | Specified to batch size and operating volume |
| Heating | Electric; method and control selected for process |
| Agitation | Motor, reducer, and impeller selected for viscosity |
| Finish and seals | Set by cleaning, hygiene, and product requirements |
Typical applications include liquid hand soap, body wash, detergent, shampoo, and related personal-care or household formulations. Capacity, temperature range, motor rating, and surface finish are project-specific and should not be inferred from the product name.
Questions to Resolve Before Ordering
Can one impeller handle every soap formula? Not reliably. Viscosity, foaming tendency, and solids content can require different impeller designs or speeds.
What should be included in an inquiry? Share batch and working volume, ingredient viscosity range, heating target and time, formulation details, cleaning procedure, available power, and installation constraints. These inputs let our engineers recommend a practical vessel and drive configuration and prepare a comparable quotation.
