Engineered for Edible Oil Storage Under Pressure
This 2000L jacketed pressure vessel is built for soybean oil and other edible oils that need to be held at elevated temperatures without degradation. The 316 stainless steel body handles the chlorides and fatty acids found in food processing environments far better than 304, which is why we spec it as standard here rather than as an upcharge option.
The jacket is not decorative. It is a full welded dimple jacket rated for steam or hot water circulation, and it is paired with 80mm polyurethane foam insulation clad in a brushed 304 shroud. That combination keeps oil viscosity workable while keeping the outer surface cool to the touch. We have seen too many tanks lose heat through uninsulated heads, so both the top and bottom dished heads are insulated as well.
Rated for 1MPa internal pressure, this is a true pressure vessel, not an atmospheric tank with a flange bolted on. The head welds are fully penetrated and x-ray tested per our shop\’s WPS/PQR procedures. The internal surface is mechanically polished to 0.4μm Ra and electropolished for cleanability. Every weld that contacts the product is ground flush and passivated.
Standard fittings include a 2\” tri-clamp inlet, bottom outlet with sampling valve, pressure gauge, safety valve, and an adjustable leg set. We can add a top-mounted agitator, level transmitter, or CIP spray ball if your process requires them. The tank is built to ASME-style construction standards, though we can certify to other codes on request.

What to Tell Us Before Ordering
Do not order by model number alone. Send us the product you are storing, its operating temperature, whether you need the jacket for heating or cooling, and your available floor space. Tell us if you will be cleaning with caustic or acid solutions, because that affects both gasket selection and the need for a more aggressive surface finish. If you are storing something other than edible oil, confirm chemical compatibility with 316L first. We build custom tanks every week, and the more process detail you provide, the closer the first quote will be to the final build.
