For batch processing in chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries, the 5000L stirred tank reactor is a workhorse. We build this unit with SUS304 stainless steel for the wetted parts, which handles a wide range of neutral and mildly corrosive media. The vessel is rated for atmospheric pressure, but we can adapt the design for vacuum or up to 0.6 MPa internal pressure if your process requires it.

The inner shell is rolled from 8mm thick plate, with a jacket for heating or cooling. We use a dimple jacket or half-pipe coil depending on your thermal fluid and required heat transfer coefficient. For electric heating, we add a thermal oil system. The agitator is a standard anchor type, with a variable frequency drive for speed control. If you need high shear or emulsification, we can switch to a turbine or axial-flow impeller.

Welding is done by certified welders, and all seams are ground smooth. The interior surface is mirror polished to Ra 0.4μm, which makes cleaning between batches straightforward. The shaft seal is a mechanical seal, suitable for most solvents and light slurries. For processes with strict containment, we offer a double mechanical seal with a flush plan.

This reactor is used in resin production, dye synthesis, and cosmetic lotion manufacturing. It handles viscosities up to 50,000 cP with the anchor agitator. The bottom discharge valve is a flush-type ball valve to avoid dead zones.
