We build this 500L jacketed continuous stirred tank reactor for chemical processors who need consistent mixing and heat transfer in a compact footprint. The vessel is constructed from 316L stainless steel as standard, with 304L available for less corrosive streams. Internal welds are fully penetrated and ground smooth, then electropolished to a Ra ≤ 0.4 μm finish. That surface matters when you\’re cleaning between batches or running products that must meet GMP guidelines.
The jacket is designed for either steam heating or chilled water cooling, depending on your utility setup. We can also fit an electric heating mantle or a thermal oil circulation loop. The top-mounted agitator uses a variable-speed motor with a mechanical seal rated for pressures up to 0.6 MPa. If you\’re processing under vacuum, we\’ll upgrade to a double mechanical seal with a seal flush system. The standard impeller is a pitched-blade turbine, but we can switch to a hydrofoil or anchor type for high-viscosity materials.
This reactor is used in pharmaceutical intermediates, fine chemicals, food additives, and cosmetic emulsions. For example, a customer making polymer dispersions runs it at 85°C with a 2 m/s tip speed to keep solids suspended. Another one in a nutraceutical plant uses it for gentle blending of heat-sensitive extracts. The continuous stirred tank design works well for reactions that need uniform residence time, not just batch mixing.

Yes. The smooth welds and removable baffles allow spray balls to reach all wetted surfaces. We\’ll add a flush ring on the agitator if you need it.
