This 5000-liter jacketed reactor is built for production lines that demand reliable heating, cooling, and agitation in a single vessel. It is a semi-stainless configuration, meaning the wetted parts are stainless steel, while non-contact structural components use carbon steel. That keeps the cost in check without compromising the process side.

Construction and Materials

The inner tank is made of stainless steel, with wall thickness selected based on working pressure and batch weight. We weld with full penetration and grind the joints smooth on the interior. For most chemical and pharmaceutical applications, the inner surface is polished to a 400-grit finish. If your process involves high-viscosity products or frequent cleaning, we can go up to a mirror polish (0.4 µm Ra) to reduce buildup and make CIP/SIP cycles more effective.

Heating, Cooling, and Temperature Control

The kettle is fitted with a heating/cooling jacket around the cylindrical section and bottom dish. You can run steam, thermal oil, or chilled water through the jacket, depending on your process temperature requirements. The jacket is designed to maintain uniform heat transfer across the vessel wall, which matters when you are handling shear-sensitive or temperature-sensitive liquids.

Agitation and Sealing

Standard configuration includes a top-mounted agitator with a mechanical seal. The impeller type can be matched to your product—anchor for high viscosity, turbine for blending, or a combination for multi-phase reactions. If your process runs under vacuum or positive pressure, the mechanical seal is selected accordingly. We also offer magnetic drive options for zero-leakage requirements.
