25000L SS304 Food Grade Water Storage Tank

This 25,000-liter vertical storage tank is built for facilities that need dependable potable water or process water storage without the risk of contamination. We fabricate it from SS304 sheet metal, with a food-grade interior finish that stands up to repeated cleaning cycles.

The shell is rolled from single sheets and welded with full-penetration TIG welds on the inside and outside. We grind the internal weld seams flush and then mechanically polish the interior to a 0.4–0.8 μm Ra finish. That matters when you are storing drinking water or product-contact process water because rough surfaces harbor biofilm. The exterior receives a 180–320 grit brushed finish, which is practical for industrial environments—easy to clean and less prone to visible fingerprints.

Standard construction includes a dished top and flat cone bottom with a center outlet. We reinforce the bottom with radial stiffeners to prevent sagging under full hydrostatic load. The tank includes a 20-inch manhole at the side for internal access, a pressure/vacuum vent at the top, and a side-mounted level indicator. All connections are tri-clamp or flanged, depending on your piping setup.

This is a non-pressure, atmospheric vessel. If your process requires pressure or vacuum duty, we need to know that before quoting—it changes the plate thickness, head design, and weld inspection requirements.

Material & Finish Options

SS304 is the right choice for neutral pH water and most food products. If you are storing chlorinated water above 10 ppm, acidic liquids, or brine, we recommend SS316L instead. We can also supply a rougher internal finish (0.8–1.2 μm Ra) if your process does not require high hygiene, which reduces cost.
