This jacketed mixer is designed for batching liquid products that need controlled blending and, when required, heating or cooling. In soap and detergent production, the challenge is often to disperse surfactants and additives without drawing in excess air or creating persistent foam. The vessel, agitator, batch size, and mixing sequence should be selected around the actual formula and its viscosity—not just the product name.

We configure the tank to suit the process. Product-contact parts can be specified in stainless steel grades appropriate to the ingredients, cleaning chemicals, and operating conditions. Welds and internal surfaces should be finished to support drainage and cleaning; the required polish level depends on hygiene expectations and whether the product is prone to sticking. Seal material and shaft arrangement also need to match the formulation and cleaning method.

Heating, cooling, and agitation

The jacket can be configured for a suitable heating or cooling medium. Utility temperature, available flow, batch size, and heat-transfer time affect the jacket design and temperature-control arrangement. A jacket does not replace a process review: products with poor heat transfer or temperature-sensitive ingredients may need a different heating profile and closer monitoring.

Agitator selection depends on viscosity, foaming behavior, and whether the batch needs simple circulation or stronger blending. Motor and gearbox sizing follow the required working volume, product resistance, and operating speed. Impeller geometry and speed should be reviewed together; increasing speed alone can increase air entrainment without improving the batch.
