Product description

We build this high shear emulsification tank for processors who need reliable mixing, heating, and storage in one vessel. The triple-layer design is not a gimmick—it serves a clear purpose: the inner layer contacts your product, the middle layer circulates steam or cooling media, and the outer layer minimizes heat loss. This configuration gives you precise temperature control during emulsification, which matters when you\’re working with heat-sensitive formulations like juice concentrates, sauces, or pharmaceutical creams.

The vessel is fabricated from stainless steel—typically 304 or 316L depending on your product\’s corrosiveness. We polish the inner surface to a sanitary finish (Ra ≤ 0.8 μm as standard, finer if required) and use orbital welding to minimize crevices. That\’s not just for aesthetics; it directly affects how easily you can clean the tank between batches and whether bacteria find a place to hide. The high shear mixer, mounted on top or from the side, generates intense hydraulic shear that breaks down agglomerates and produces a stable emulsion. For viscous products, we add a bottom scraper or anchor agitator to keep the mass moving and prevent burn-on near the heated walls.

Steam heating is the default for most food and chemical applications because it\’s fast and even. But we can also configure the same tank for electric heating, hot water circulation, or direct expansion cooling. The choice depends on your plant\’s utility setup and the thermal profile your process demands. Working pressure can be atmospheric, positive, or vacuum—we\’ve built units for each. Just tell us what your process requires, and we\’ll size the vessel wall thickness, flanges, and seals accordingly.

Typical uses include emulsifying salad dressings, homogenizing lotions, mixing pigment pastes, and storing intermediate liquid products before filling. The tank can be fitted with a CIP spray ball, level sensors, temperature probes, and a control panel with basic on/off or full PLC automation. We keep the design modular so you can start simple and upgrade later.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I choose the right capacity?
Consider your batch size and headspace for foaming. We recommend working volume at 70–80% of total volume for most liquids. If your product foams, leave more headroom.

Q: Can this tank handle high-viscosity pastes?
Yes, but you\’ll need a stronger anchor agitator and possibly a higher-torque high shear head. Share the viscosity (in cP or Pa·s) and solids content with us, and we\’ll size the motor accordingly.

Q: What about cleaning?
We can add a CIP spray ball and slope the bottom for complete drainage. For products that leave residues, a manual clean-out port or removable emulsifier head is available.

Q: Do you provide documentation?
We supply material certificates, welding reports, and pressure test records if required. For specific certifications (FDA, CE, etc.), let us know your target market—we\’ll discuss what\’s feasible.

Getting the Right Configuration

Before you request a quote, gather the following details: the material you\’ll process (chemical composition, pH, viscosity), batch volume, operating and design temperature, working pressure (atmospheric, pressurized, or vacuum), and the mixing result you need (emulsion droplet size, dispersion quality). Also note whether you need heating, cooling, or both, and any cleaning or compliance standards. With that information, our engineers can recommend the correct wall thickness, agitator type, seal material, and control level. We build each tank to order, so there\’s no one-size-fits-all answer—but there is a right answer for your process.

Send us your process parameters via the inquiry form, and we\’ll respond with a detailed specification and a clear quotation. No generic pricing—just what fits your production line.

Customer Review

We ordered a complete peanut butter processing line, and overall we’ve been very happy with it. The equipment arrived well packed and everything was installed and tested without major issues. The line runs smoothly, and the mixing and processing have been consistent. Our peanut butter comes out with a good texture, and the equipment is not difficult for our operators to use and clean. The support from the supplier was also helpful during setup. So far, it has been a good investment for our production.
