We build stainless steel water storage tanks for chemical plants where process water, cooling water, or treated effluent needs to be held without contamination. This tank is fabricated to your site dimensions, not forced into a catalog size that wastes floor space or leaves you with unused capacity.
The shell is rolled from stainless steel plate with full-penetration welds. We offer SUS304 where the water chemistry is neutral and cost matters. If you are storing demineralized water, condensate, or anything with chlorides above ambient levels, step up to SUS316L. The difference is pitting resistance, and in a chemical plant that is not a detail to overlook.
Interior welds are ground flush and pickled. For most water service, a 2B or 180-grit finish is sufficient. If you are circulating the water through nozzles or spray bars, we can supply a brighter finish to reduce particle entrapment. Exterior finish is typically brushed or matte, depending on how visible the tank is in your facility.
Standard details include a sloped bottom for complete drainage, a bolted or welded manway for entry, and threaded or flanged connections located per your piping layout. We can add level instruments, vent with insect screen, overflow, and a removable top cover for cleaning access. The tank is designed for atmospheric service. If your process involves vacuum or pressure, tell us before fabrication—that changes the shell thickness, head design, and weld inspection requirements entirely.

FAQ
How do I decide between 304 and 316L?
If the water has low chloride and you are not heating it, 304 works. For hot water, softened water, or any chance of chloride exposure, use 316L.
Can you fabricate to match my existing pipe elevations?
Yes. Send us your drawing or dimensions. We position nozzles and supports to match your plant layout.
What cleaning access do I get?
A 16-inch or 20-inch manway is standard. For larger tanks, we add a second manway or a hinged top for overhead access.
Before you request a quote, measure the available footprint, confirm the working volume you actually need, and check the water chemistry. If you are not sure about the chloride level, get a water test report. That one number determines the material grade and ultimately the service life of the tank.
