Product description

Vacuum Mixing for Viscous Products

This vacuum emulsifying mixer is configured for batches that need controlled blending, dispersion, or emulsification, including cosmetic creams, lotions, shampoos, and mayonnaise. Product behavior matters more than the name on the recipe: oil-to-water ratio, viscosity, batch size, powder additions, and target texture all affect the vessel and mixing arrangement. Vacuum processing can help limit air entrainment, but the required vacuum level and operating sequence depend on the formulation.

Construction and Process Options

We select wetted materials according to the product and cleaning regime. 304 stainless steel may suit some applications; 316L is often specified where formulation chemistry, food contact requirements, or cleaning agents call for greater corrosion resistance. Weld quality, drainability, internal surface finish, and seal compatibility should be agreed during design review. The specified polish and any sanitary fittings should match the actual process and inspection requirements rather than being chosen by default.

Heating or cooling can be arranged through a jacket or another process-specific method. Temperature range, heating medium, batch size, and heat-sensitive ingredients determine the control approach. The drive system and agitator are likewise selected around viscosity and flow behavior. A wall-sweeping agitator can help move material near the vessel surface; a high-speed homogenizing head supports dispersion, but its size, location, and operating speed need to suit the batch. Excessive shear or an unsuitable sequence can affect texture, introduce heat, or make discharge difficult.

FAQ

Can one setup handle both cosmetics and food? Potentially, but contact materials, seals, cleaning procedures, and applicable site requirements must be reviewed for each use.

What should be included in a quotation request? Send batch volume, ingredient sequence, viscosity or a representative sample, target temperature, mixing time, cleaning method, available utilities, and required output or discharge arrangement. These details let our engineers recommend a buildable configuration rather than guess at a standard machine.

We ordered a complete peanut butter processing line, and overall we’ve been very happy with it. The equipment arrived well packed and everything was installed and tested without major issues. The line runs smoothly, and the mixing and processing have been consistent. Our peanut butter comes out with a good texture, and the equipment is not difficult for our operators to use and clean. The support from the supplier was also helpful during setup. So far, it has been a good investment for our production.
