Process-focused vacuum emulsification

Construction and configuration
Product-contact parts are commonly specified in 304 or 316L stainless steel. The choice depends on ingredients, cleaning chemicals, chloride exposure, and hygiene requirements. Welds in contact areas should be continuous and finished to suit the cleaning method. Internal polish and surface finish are specified for the product and cleaning procedure; a polished surface alone does not establish sanitary compliance. Seal materials also require review for compatibility with oils, solvents, temperature, and cleaning agents.
Agitator style, scraper arrangement, homogenizer position, and motor or gearbox sizing are selected around viscosity, heat sensitivity, and batch geometry. A wall scraper can improve turnover in a viscous ointment, but adds components that need inspection and cleaning. Heating or cooling may be arranged through a vessel jacket, with the medium, available utilities, and temperature-control accuracy defined during design. Vacuum rating, vessel construction, and discharge arrangement must be coordinated with the process and installation.
