We fabricate square spirits storage tanks for distilleries that need predictable, space-efficient alcohol holding without compromising material integrity. This isn\’t a one-size-fits-all vessel – it\’s a straightforward piece of process equipment designed around the realities of spirit storage.
Material and Fabrication
The tank is available in SUS304 or SUS316L, depending on your product chemistry and cleaning routine. For most neutral spirits and aged products, SUS304 handles the job well. If you\’re storing higher-acidity wash, using aggressive caustic cleaning cycles, or working in a coastal environment, SUS316L gives you better corrosion margin. We weld with full penetration and back-purge with argon, then passivate the weld zones. Interior surfaces are ground and polished to a sanitary finish – typically 0.4 to 0.6 µm Ra – so there are no crevices for residue to hide in.
The square design is a practical choice when headroom is tight or floor space is at a premium. It\’s not a pressure vessel; it\’s built for atmospheric storage. If you need vacuum or pressure rating, that\’s a different design conversation entirely.
