This jacketed mixing reactor is built for silicone sealant production lines that demand consistent heat transfer and uniform dispersion. We fabricate the vessel from 304 or 316L stainless steel, with the choice depending on your formula\’s acidity and chloride content. The inner shell wall thickness is determined by your working pressure and vessel diameter, so we do not apply a one-size-fits-all spec.

The gearbox-driven agitator delivers steady torque at low speeds, which is what you need when viscosity climbs past 100,000 cPs. A polished inner surface—down to Ra 0.4 µm if required—cuts cleaning time between batches and reduces material buildup on the wall. The jacket is designed for either steam heating or cooling water circulation. We calculate the heat transfer area based on your batch size and the exothermic or endothermic nature of your reaction.

Manufacturing Notes

All welds are full penetration and ground flush on the product contact side. We pressure test every vessel before shipping. The mechanical seal is selected based on your solvent type and whether you run vacuum or positive pressure. If you process under vacuum, we reinforce the shell and head thickness accordingly. Explosion-proof motors are available for solvent-based formulations, but you need to specify the hazardous area classification.

Yes, but we recommend a hardened shaft and impeller surface. Standard stainless steel will wear over time with continuous abrasive mixing.

Q: What is the minimum batch size for accurate temperature control?
For a 3,000 L vessel, we suggest a minimum working volume of about 40%. Below that, the jacket heat transfer becomes less efficient.

Q: Do you provide installation support?
We supply detailed drawings and can arrange on-site commissioning for overseas projects. The cost depends on the location and duration.
